Factors affecting adoption and usage of mobile money services by artisan gold miners: Case of Umzingwane District in Zimbabwe

The aim of the study was to evaluate factors which affect adoption and usage mobile money services by artisan gold miners in Zimbabwe with reference Umzingwane district. adopted a sequential explanatory research design an objective using mixed approach. Data gathered questionnaires from two hundred seventy (270) miners. consisted both open ended closed questions. revealed that district are literate. also found use prefer cash services. highlighted main challenge faced is most shops rural areas not willing accept payments those charge premium on top prices goods. at 5% significance level, such as ease perceived trust services, unavailability handset costs were statistically significant. Perceived cost transacting, poor network, registration social influence negatively affected Security education level positively recommends government should reduce tax punish businesses charging premiums payments. Mobile service providers form partnership so bring personal close communities.
